Self Managers
In 4th grade, students should be able to focus on independently managing their behavior and homework. We have set up a Self Manager reward program that will work with our Friday Lunch time. Our goal is to encourage and motivate all students to manage themselves behaviorally and academically, as well as reward those students who are consistently doing their best.
At the end of each 2 week period students who have earned the honor will receive SELF-MANAGER status for the following week.
Here are the Requirements to earn the status:
1. No late assignments for the entire week and,
2. Only one behavior card (warning- yellow) and,
3. No other behavior problem with any teacher at Ridgeview including before and after school, recess, library, music, cafeteria, hallway, etc.
4. Students need to show proficiency (90% on mixed facts) in multiplication fluency, and
5. Students need to be showing progress toward their Reading Counts goal per term.
If a student earns the Self-Manager status at the end of the day on a Friday, they maintain that status through 2 weeks (until the next inservice, early release day). A student can lose their self-manager status anytime throughout that they are not exhibiting self-manager behavior.
Rewards for self managers will include priviledges like: free recess, free choice time, special lunch time, homework passes etc.
